The 2013 Fall Recruitment Roundtable will be held on Thursday, August 1 at 7pm. The training will be held at Christ Lutheran Church in Manchester PA. This is a very important training and each pack, troop, post, ship, and crew should plan to have at least one representative in attendance that night.
There are going to be several changes to the way round-ups, crew first nighters, and boy scout crossovers will be handled this year, so please be sure to come and get all the information. We are also pleased to announce the unveiling of the Middle School Explorer Post Program which will go live that day. As a reminder, membership is not just about recruiting, it’s also about retention. Our district is blessed to have one of the most diverse array of programs for older boys in the council, so Boy Scout troops should be there to find ways to keep their more experienced members interested and challenged.
At the training units will receive their tentative recruitment night dates, receive both youth and adult applications, pick up yard signs, posters, and peer to peer cards, and most importantly learn how to run a successful fall sign up night! There is a lot to go over that night so be sure that you unit is represented. See you all there!
