Hello everyone,
After speaking with district commissioner staff, a decision to cancel tonight’s roundtable has been made, due to the current forecast of snow this evening. We believe it will be in the best interest of all concerned to limit travel to ensure that everyone stays safe. The meeting will not be rescheduled. Our next roundtable will be held on February 6, 2014 at 7:00 p.m., at Christ Lutheran Church; 66 South Main Street; Manchester, Pa 17345.
With the meeting be cancelled here are some updates that would have been covered and should be known to everyone.
- First, District Award of Merit nominations are due by the end of the month, January 31, 2014. I have attached the form for those of you who do not have it. Please make sure those get handed in. Award of merit application
- Second, the 2014 Klondike Derby is the weekend of February 21-23. I have attached the flyer for the event. Applications are due by January 24, 2014, to ensure you get a patch and prevent a $2.00 late fee per person. If you have any questions feel free to contact me. 2014 Klondike Derby
- Third, please take a look at the flyer for the 2014 University of Scouting. This year it will be held in Mechanicsburg at Good Hope Middle School. The registration deadline will be on March 24, 2014. Registration opens on February 2, 2014. University of Scouting
- Finally, the belt loop college will be on February 1, 2014. Again I have attached the application for the event. The last day to hand in applications is January 27, 2014. So make sure you are signed up by then! More details are located on the flyer. Belt Loop College
